Katiba Institute (KI) will participate in the 2025 Devolution Conference, which will be held in Homa Bay County from 12 to 15 August 2025. On 13 August, the first day of the Conference dedicated to the theme of good governance, KI and its partners Bajeti Hub, Mzalendo, and TISA will host a side event exploring the role of transparency, public participation, social accountability, and the rule of law in realising the promise of devolution. It will further assess how devolved governance institutions have embraced these principles and propose practical actions to deepen their integration in county-level governance and service delivery.

As an organisation committed to advancing constitutionalism in the implementation of devolution, Katiba Institute aims to contribute meaningfully to an audit of the rule of law and governance reforms, 12 years since the system was first adopted in Kenya.

KI will also host an exhibition booth at the conference, allowing delegates, stakeholders, and public members to interact with our team and learn more about our work.
